RTC Recreation Center located in Bldg.
1326 (next to the NEX) on the Recruit Training Command provides recreational
opportunities for newly graduated recruits and visiting families, the RTC
Recreation Center is an introduction to MWR services that will be enjoyed
at future duty stations. This Center is fully equipped with a projection
screen television with surround-sound showing movies daily, a computer room
with internet access, a large game room with pool tables, electronic video
games, a commons area to socialize and Zapper's Snack Bar. If you are unable
to purchase a custom Divisional T-Shirt, stop by the RTC Rec Center after
graduation and throughout the weekend to purchase shirts or fill out order
forms. Also, tickets available for sale include: Six Flags Great America
(seasonal), Skydeck at Willis Tower, Chicago Trolley Tours and Metra Train.
Hours of Operation: Mon-Wed: 5pm-8pm, Thurs: Closed, Fri: 10 am-9 pm, Sat:
8 am-9 pm, Sun & Holidays: 8 am-8 pm.
The RV Campground borders beautiful
Lake Michigan, this year-round camping facility, has 20 concrete sites
with electrical hook-ups, restrooms and nearby access to shower facilities
(Bldg. 440, the Fieldhouse). Other amenities include a beach with a beach
house, fishing piers with a cleaning station, a playground, picnic areas
and an archery range. Campers also have access to the Marina Rental Center
and the Ship's Store. Upon arriving, campers must register at the Great
